The farmhouse la Capitana is located on a hill 250 meters above sea level. From this point of view you can admire the Argentario promontory that is reachable by car in 20 minutes.
You can visit the beautiful Uccellina Natural Park, about 30 minutes from the farmhouse. The park offers hikes in total harmony with nature. In about 40 minutes you can reach charming places such as the thermal baths of Terme di Saturnia, the village of Sorana, Pitigliano, Manciano…
Not far from the farmhouse there are facilities to practice sports and enjoy recreational activities.
There is a riding stable nearby, golf courses, and inside the park of Uccellina you can enjoy canoeing and beach activities in the beautiful Tyrrhenean Sea.

Pitigliano
Pitigliano is an old village with a history dating back thousands of years, it is carved into the tuff and has been inhabited for millennia. Not to be missed are its Little Jerusalem, the majestic aqueduct, the Synagogue, the Jewish district, the Orsini Palace, the Vie Cave, the Orsini park and the Necropolis.
San Galgano
A few kilometers from Siena, in an isolated valley nestled among the hills, you can visit the immense abbey of San Galgano. Nearby, in the hill of Montesiepi, there is a small circular chapel that houses one of the most fascinating and mysterious relics of the entire region: the sword in the stone of San Galgano.
Sovana
Just 23 km from the waterfalls of the mill of Saturnia, in the tuff area you can visit Sovana, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Each year from May to August,”Sovana aperta” is an unmissable appointment for the arts, history and culture.
Talamone
Talamone is a picturesque and lovely fishing village, it rises on a small promontory, dominated by an ancient Sienese fortress, at the extreme south of the Uccellina Mountains.

It is a medieval town plunged by picturesque narrow and steep roads. It is the capital of Brunello wine, and a place of incredible charms to discover.

Once called “Aurinia” or “City of gold,” Saturnia is famous for being the most ancient city in Italy, you can feel surrounded by his ancient origin at every breath.
The Terme di Saturnia (thermal baths) are famous for their sulphurous waters with their healing and relaxing properties.
Parco dell’Uccellina
The Park of Uccellina is the jewel of Maremma. It is a great wooded extension of Mediterranean scrub of over 1000 hectares that stretches from the plain of Alberese and the sea, to Talamone, to the mouth of the Ombrone river, and to the Uccellina mountains.
Massa Marittima
